A Midsummer Night's Dream - Acting Workshop with Nia Lynn

Nia Lynn is an internationally sought after Voice, Text, Accent and Dialect Coach, Theatre Director, Facilitator and proud Pedagogue. Her early training led her to a master’s in music (Jazz/Creative Learning) from GSMD and a Masters of Arts (Voice) from CSSD. She has been a full time and freelance member of the voice team at The Royal Shakespeare Company since 2010. She is a Head of Voice for the voice department at the Fontainebleau School of Acting, France and is an International Lecturer as part of the Soundthinking Australia Summer Programme, Brisbane, where she heads up the Music Theatre Programme. She also has Tri-Annual residency with The National Theatre Institute in Connecticut, USA. She is an Education Associate Practitioner for The Royal Shakespeare Company, representing their rehearsal room pedagogy at international conferences in New York. Nia is also the Principal Study Singing Teacher in the Jazz Faculty at The Royal Academy of Music, The Guildhall School of Music & Drama and The Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, where she also coaches in the Voice/Drama department. She is a regular Accent and Dialect coach for theatre productions in and around the UK, and is associated with such theatres as; West End, Stratford East Theatre, Donmar Warehouse, Lyric Hammersmith, ‘Home’ Manchester, Old Vic and Young Vic, as well as having regular accent coaching work for such companies as ITV (Film Four), Netflix, and Sky.

Using ‘the Actors Toolkit’ and Rehearsal Room Pedagogy, you can experience the richness and breadth of Shakespeare’s language (as well as how to make it your own) in this unique immersive workshop.
